Madison Square Garden Company (MSG)
Leeds Brown Law, P.C. and Virginia & Ambinder represent a group of former unpaid interns in a potential group action where it is alleged that MSG Holdings, L.P. and The Madison Square Garden Company and other related entities (“MSG”) unlawfully failed to pay interns wages, dating back to 2007. The case is called Fraticelli v. MSG Holdings, L.P., No. 13-CV-6518 and is filed in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York in Manhattan. It is alleged that other interns worked for MSG without receiving proper compensation such as minimum wage and overtime. The Court has not ruled on the merits of the case, as it was filed in September 2013.
As the case proceeds, there is the possibility that the Court may authorize letters (or “notice”) to other MSG interns. But you do not have to wait for the Court to send out letters to join the case. If you have information to share, want to know the status, or are curious about the law in the area of internship rights or employment rights, contact one of the attorneys at Leeds Brown Law, P.C. or Virginia &Ambinder, LLP.
